Breakfast like a King, Lunch like a Prince and Dine like a Pauper

healthy breakfast

Your mother was right! Breakfast really is the most important meal of the day. Not only does it give you energy to start a new day, but breakfast is linked to many long term health benefits such as reducing obesity, high blood pressure, heart disease and diabetes. Eating breakfast also supplies you with nutrients that you wouldn’t be able to make up for from the other meals of the day.

A healthy breakfast should consist of Bread & Grains, Milk and milk products and/or Fruit & Vegetables.
Even if you think you don’t have time to eat breakfast, there are grab-and-go options that are filling.
I found these tasty looking pictures below on ShakeUpYourWakeUp . They are perfect breakfast options that I frequently enjoy.
(Who else follows food porn accounts on twitter?? Haha)

oat breakfast

I usually do Oats + Peanut Butter +Sugar/Honey + Banana. Trust it’s very delish.

We all know them delicious fruit breads yes? Add some honey for some extra sweetness.

Energy bars are the simplest Lol. Just make sure to buy a lot when you go grocery shopping and all you have to do is pickup one on the go.

I usually do Yougurts (Greek or otherwise) + Raw Oats (my friend thinks it’s disgusting but it’s actually sweet uno) + banana + Milk . And take a glass full, it’s so filling I promise. You could also decided to throw in some nuts like the picture above.

Other options include:
• Whole grain cereal with low fat milk and a fruit.
• An omelette with whole grain toast.
• Scrambled eggs, a slice of tomato, wheat bread and glass of orange juice.

These are just a few easy to make breakfast options. I advice you start  with this and from there progress to more complex options. Really, as long as you’re eating breakfast all’s well.

Do you know of any other quick breakfast options? I’ll love to try them out so be sure to include them in your comment below 😄

Thanks for taking time to read my blog, until next time.
