Hello Guys,

Happy Love Month to you all!! Any plans for valentines day yet?

If you’re subscribed to my monthly newsletter (which i’m slacking on at the moment but promise to be back soon) you’ll remember some months ago i talked on starting a beauty segment on the blog. Well it’s 2017 and like blogger babe Thonia and i continue to say, “this 2017 we move”, I’ve decided to get going with it- dslr or not (my phone actually did great) so here’s my first review.

About Jcat Beauty

The fun, young and bold makeup brand from sunny L.A. is high quality, smartly priced and cruelty free!

Triple Crown Baked Shadow in “Grilled Mango”

According to their website, this shadow is multidimensional and light as air, a velvety baked formula that wears all day long. Shimmery marbling tri-color eye shadow really packs in the pigments. Our uniquely designed SOLAR Baked Formula blends seamlessly and is ultra versatile. Apply dry for an even wash of color or wet for a more dramatic look.

They also come in 12 other shades so they are definitely not lacking in variety.

Price – ₱369, that’s about $7

My Opinion

So i discovered this brand some weeks ago at a shopping event i attended here in manila and i’m glad i did. They just got to the Philippines so i guess that’s why i just got to know about them.

What first grabbed my attention to their stand was that they had foundations in dark shades for women of color like me which is super rare in Philippines -_- . It’s usually only MAC and Inglot that I’ve seen stock good darker shades. So my friend and i went to check them out and their foundation was pretty good- blended seamlessly but i wasn’t on a foundation hunt cause i stocked myself properly from my last trip to Nigeria haha

Immediately i spotted this eye shadow, i knew it was going to be litt. I mean from the pictures alone you can tell that this eye shadow is SUPER pigmented. I only swatched it once guys and look at that glow!!?!

My immediate thought was to use it as a highlighter (which is what I’ve been using it for and I’ve still not tried it as an eye shadow lol) and i don’t want to go on about the glow I’ve had since then. This shadow blessed a sisters life.

Ultimately, this is currently my go to highlighter any day!! It’s definitely baked like the name says.

This looks really gorgeous don’t think we have it in the UK yet, I haven’t seen it . The colours are really pigmented as you said, I might see if it’s online actually. Thank you
