7 MUA-Aprroved Products to Improve Your Daily Makeup Look

Well hello there to ladies who are not a ‘wear makeup everyday’ kind of girl but do like to look approachable on a daily and not scare people away. We see makeup artists, beauty vloggers and the likes always looking so flawless with their ‘no makeup faces’ but we can swear they have some form of makeup on. How do they get these double tap worthy looks everyday?

In addition to good posing, and great lighting (the sun is your best friend girl), makeup artists & beauty vloggers use specific products to enhance their features, too.

If you want to snag their daily insta-ready looks, keep reading!

  1. Tolani A.V

For her everyday looks, Tolani loves her Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation. She says “the color is perfect and they have so many shades for women of color. It’s definitely the longest lasting foundation i have ever tried, it honestly lasts ALL DAY LONG.” She’s uses the shade “Pecan” but “Rich Cocoa” also looks great so she usually switches between the two. You can check more on how she achieves her flawless everyday looks on her channel.

2. Lacici

Comfort Udofia aka Lacici lives for her lip-glosses. She can very well do without wearing foundation or drawing her brows but she’ll always have to put on balm or gloss and her go to product is Elizabeth Arden’s Lip-gloss in Sunset Bronze. Watch her highlight and contour routine here

3. Janice the Beauty Fairy

Janice Barillo also known as Janice the Beauty Fairy can never be spotted without her Mac Fix+ Spray. “Before putting on any product on my clients’ skin, i spray their faces with Mac Fix+. It takes off the powdery, cakey edge from your makeup leaving your skin looking soft and fresh. I also use it to enhance eye-shadows (glitter or metallic).” Janice is a top makeup artist in Cebu, check out her Facebook Page for more of her amazing works.

4. Yemisi

Yemisi aka Misykona swears by this drugstore product. “It dries quickly and it’s really dark,” says the Makeup Artist. She loves to use eyeliners because they make her look awake. She does very detailed product reviews so you might want to check out her blog.

5. Thelma aka Beauty by Bellamere

Thelma believes mascaras are essential for an everyday look. “They help brighten your eyes and face and give definition to the eyes. One can certainly do without an eye shadow and liner.” She loves to apply a coat or two of Too faced’s Better Than Sex Mascara to the upper and lower lashes and she is good to go. Here’s her tip on creating an extra effect or ‘drama’ – use a liner brush to pick some product from the mascara wand and apply to the roots of the lash line, this gives the illusion of an eyeliner.

6. Leylarh Cadne

If you love your eyebrows then you should invest in the Yanga Beauty Browlution Eyebrow Pencil  “It’s really soft on the brows giving a natural finish, stays put all day doesn’t move and it’s one for all skin tones” she says. It also doesn’t become shiny after worn for a while. She’s also a fan of her Maybelline concealer and one from Anastasia Beverly Hills. 7. Dave Quiambao

For an everyday look, Dave thinks an opaque lipstick is a must have and MAC’s Ruby Woo is his perfect choice. He loves this lipstick because there are a lot of things you can do with it- “You can sheer it down and make it as a lip tint for an easy, natural look. You can also transform your look from natural to bold if you have a night out. One other technique that most of our grandmas do is they use the lipstick as blush on. It definitely works. Its not powdery like some regular blushes that you put on and it has very a blush from within finish.” Dave is one of the makeup artists I’ve worked with here in Manila and his work is amazing so absolutely check out his facebook page

Estee Lauder is Bae. I love the finish and the fact that it doesn’t transfer to your clothes as much as other foundations do.x
