3 TIPS TO IMPROVE YOUR BEAUTY SLEEP – WAKE UP PRETTIER THAN YOU SLEPT

It’s another Beauty Monday and I’ve got something fresh for you 🙂 if you missed my previous post from last week check it out here

If anybody knows anything about beauty sleep then it should be me lool

If you know me then you know my sleep and I are like 5 & 6. You’re not allowed to wake me up without my permission and neither are you allowed to disturb my sleep.

As much as i like my sleep, it has become a luxury because ‘medical school’. -_- One of my lecturers even once said “the more amount of sleep you get the more likely you are to fail as a medical student” but heloooo, you’re the same person teaching us “sleep is important” and bla bla.

With this fact in mind, whenever i get to sleep i always make sure i maximize it to the fullest. I mean i wake up flawless everyday (lies). Hence why the need for getting your beauty sleep cannot be overemphasized.

If you want to know how I’ve improved my beauty sleep continue reading.

3 TIPS FOR GETTING BETTER BEAUTY SLEEP

1. Go to bed with a clean face.

cleanse your face for beauty sleep

Ladies!!!! The day is done and over with so please and please get rid of that face beat. We both know that’s not your real face and no, you didn’t wake up like that. Quit fooling around. Sleeping with makeup on can cause breakouts so go clean your face already! Don’t stop at using facial wipes, go ahead and use a facial wash and cleanse your face thoroughly.

2. Moisturize.

moisturize

Your face can get dry from all the washing so you want to moisturize up. Hydrators plump up skin, softening the appearance of fine lines and creating a smoother appearance. You also want to put some lip balm on your lips so you don’t wake up with lips you can’t recognize lol

3. Position yourself properly.

sleep on your back

So far, the best sleeping position is lying on your back. I know, I know, we all like to sleep on our tummies but heyy, if you want to reduce the appearance of wrinkle better get on your back! Sleeping this way prevents pressure on your skin that may cause creasing. Make sure your hair is pulled back and tucked away cause you don’t want that to interfere too.

Some other things you should note

  • Changing your pillowcase often. You don’t want to rest your already cleansed face on a pile of bacteria.
  • Sleep with a satin or silk pillowcase. (or you can wrap your pillow with your silk scarf like me :-p)
  • Keep the distractions away, that includes your phones, TV, etc and just sleep.

Cheers to better beauty sleep!!!

When it comes to my sleep, you dare not disturb else you won’t hear the last of it, ever! I am not blessed with flawless facial skin so I can’t even play myself and sleep with makeup, great tips dear

I always forget to wash my face before sleeping. This is a great quick reminder!
